Provides technical assistance to scope out potential projects, model project economics, assess service and equipment providers, and identify grant and other funding opportunities for Multifamily housing developers, residents, schools, utilities and local governments and project developers.
FOCUS
Works closely with school districts, built partnerships with utilities, developers and local governments in Nevada. They also build relationships with local contractors and suppliers to expand access to clean energy solutions.
APPROACH
GOALS
The Nevada Clean Energy Fund (NCEF) is a non-profit organization created in 2017 by state legislation. NCEF provides financial and technical resources to accelerate clean energy growth in the state, reduce energy costs, create jobs, and meaningfully address climate change. NCEF works with communities, local businesses, schools, governments, utilities, contractors, lenders, and others to increase access to clean energy opportunities such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, zero-emission vehicles, and energy storage.
- Provide financial and technical resources to multi-family housing properties to realize the benefits of clean energy.
- Residents: Is launching a program to help Nevadans navigate the process of home and vehicle upgrades and provide them with the financial and technical resources to reduce their energy bills and realize the benefits of clean energy.
- Schools: works closely with school districts to implement clean energy projects, ranging from energy efficiency to renewable energy to fleet electrification. The Nevada Clean Energy Fund also provides low-cost capital to fill the gap where other sources of funding are insufficient
- Utilities and Local Governments: partners with utilities and local governments to achieve their clean energy objectives, ranging from energy efficiency to community solar to fleet electrification.
- Leverage “expertise” to design and implement programs in partnership with utilities and local governments, from the early scoping and design stages, to the identification of financial resources and modeling of project economics, to rigorous measurement and evaluation against objectives throughout program implementation. They also connect Utilities and Local Governments with Funding Opportunities.
